How does it work? The Nerd's computer program creates a link from their computer to view your computer screen. |

Once the connection is made the Nerd can work directly on your computer and fix the problem right in front of you while you watch. |
Is it safe?
Yes! This is because:
1. There is NOT a permanent “live” link between your computer and the Nerds.
2. The Nerd can only view your computer screen if you start the support session.
3. You can watch the Nerd's actions on your computer screen as they perform the support session.
4. The support session can be stopped by you at any time (see instructions below).
5. The computer program uses encryption (techie talk!) to prevent hackers using your computer without your
knowledge.
How can I pay?
Need A Nerd can process a credit card payment over the phone. Or you can make payment via internet banking or send a cheque the day of the service. We would appreciate payment on completion of the Support Session.
To Start the Remote Support Session...
1. Call 0800 63 33 26 or click here to book an appointment time. 2. The Nerd will call you to start the support session. 3. Click here to start a support session 4. Select "Run" 5. Your Nerd will give you a unique ID code to type into the pop up box to connect directly to the right Nerd. 6. The link is immediately established with your Nerd: allowing them to see your computer screen, control the mouse and keyboard in real-time, almost like being there in person. 7. Stop the Support Session Right Click on the red and white arrow icon (see to the right) on the bottom right corner of your screen and choose "Stop (uninstall)".
The Nerd can NOT access your computer unless you Run the file again. |
